1 cup peanut butter
Preheat oven to 350°F.
In large mixer bowl, beat peanut butter and butter until smooth, about 1 minute. Add sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract; beat until creamy. Blend in flour and salt. Stir in 1 cup chocolate chips.
Spread into ungreased 13"x9" baking pan. Bake 25 to 30 minutes, or until edges begin to brown. Immediately sprinkle remaining chocolate chips over cookie layer. Let stand 5 minutes until morsels become shiny and soft. Spread chocolate evenly over top.
Cool completely. Cut into 1-1/2" bars.

Nutritional Info Per Serving: N/A
6 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
1-1/4 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups chocolate chips, divided (I use a bit more than one bag--the recipe calls for milk chocolate morsels, but I use pareve chips)
I cut this recipe out of a magazine, years ago. I make it often. It's easy (you don't even grease the pan) and it's a crowd pleaser. I just have to remember not to make it when the daughter that is allergic to peanut butter comes to visit...
