1/2 cup butter
Pre-heat oven to 3350°F.
Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in the water and egg, then stir in the cake mix. Add the chocolate chips and optional nuts.
Spread mixture in a greased or parchment paper lined 9"x13" pan and bake for 30 to 35 minutes. Cool and cut into bars.
