1/2 cup sesame seeds
Line an 8"x10" pan with foil and lightly spray with vegetable oil spray.
In a dry skillet toast the sesame seeds over medium-low heat, stirring constantly until golden, 3 to 5 minutes. Set aside.
In a heavy skillet or saucepan, melt the butter or margarine over medium-low heat. Add the honey and chopped halvah. Stir constantly until the halvah is completely melted and the mixture has begun to bubble. Don't let it burn or brown.
Pour mixture over cereal and stir completely to mix. Press into baking pan and let cool for about an hour to set. Cut into bars.

Nutritional Info Per Serving: N/A
6 tbsp. butter or margarine
2 tbsp. honey
8 oz. plain halvah, coarsely chopped
4 cups Puffed Kashi-type cereal, in a large bowl
Someone posted this recipe using "crispy rice" cereal a year or so ago and I loved it. I made them again recently but wanted something a little more wholesome, cereal-wise, so I used Puffed Kashi (which is O-U) instead. They're really good and I love having an adult version of Crispy Treats - and no baking in the summer heat.
