Chili Powder I (P, TNT)
Source: Sunset Magazine 12/99
Serves: 100

1/4 cup California or New Mexico Chilies, ground
1 tablespoon cumin ground
1-2 teaspoons cayenne, ground
2 teaspoons dried oregano, ground
2 teaspoons onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder

Mix well, store in tightly sealed shaker bottle.

Poster's Notes:
1. I made a lot of these, layering the spices in different colors for a spice sculpture, and gave as gifts last December. As I looked at the recipes again, saw the call for making salt-free Pesach recipes, I put 2+2 together and decided to share these with the list.

2. Any ingredient (like cumin) that does not fit in someone's Pesach kitchen can easily be omitted.
