1/2 cup coffee flavored liqueur or rum
Combine liqueur, corn syrup, chopped cherries, raisins, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, wafer crumbs, and chopped pecans.
Have ready for dipping plates of powdered sugar, cocoa powder, coconut and/or chopped nuts.
With lightly oiled hands, form a teaspoonful of mixture into a ball and roll in a topping. Place in small paper cups.

1/3 cup golden raisins, chopped

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2-1/2 cups fine vanilla wafer crumbs
1 cup pecans, finely chopped
Powdered sugar
Cocoa powder
Coconut
Nuts, chopped
This is a recipe for Kahlua Balls, but you can substitute rum. It's also pareve. I've also left substituted dried cherries for the candied cherries. Once, I forgot to add the powdered sugar called for in the recipe, and I think I liked it better. It wasn't quite so sweet and you could taste the other ingredients more.
