Brittle, Almond (D, KLP)

Yield: about 2 cups

1 cup sugar
1 cup butter
2 tbsp. water
1/2 cup almonds

In cast iron skillet, melt butter and sugar together on medium high heat until bubbly, stirring continuously.

Add water and almonds, when mixture turns dark toffee color, pour onto ungreased cookie sheet and place in a cool place. Crack into bite-size pieces and enjoy....
