Sponge Cake, Honey I (P, TNT)

Yield: 1 9"x13" cake

6 eggs, separated
1 cup sugar
1 cup honey (1/2 lb.)
1/8 cup oil
1/6 cup. orange juice (1/2 orange, juiced)
1-1/2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon cloves
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg

Beat egg whites until stiff and set aside.

Mix together egg yolks, sugar, honey, oil, and orange juice.

Mix together the dry ingredients and fold in to the wet ones. The batter will be very stiff. Then fold in the egg whites and bake in a 9"x13" pan at 350°F until done. (45 minutes?)

You can alter the spices to suit your taste or spice cupboard.

Here is my WONDERFUL Honey Sponge Cake. It is light and moist. NOT the typical Honey Cake. This is truly a Honey Cake even for those who hate Honey Cake. I Promise!
