Plum Kuchen (D/P, TNT)
Source: "Simply from Scratch," from Pillsbury Flour
Serves: 6-8*

1/2 cup butter or margarine (softened)
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
1 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
/4 teaspoon salt
6 to 8 ripe plums, sliced. (I did not use the small blue plums, they were not available when I made the cake and the other plums did very well.
3 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Preheat oven to350°F. Grease a 9" springform pan.

Cream butter/margarine with sugar very well. Add egg and vanilla, beat well. Mix dry ingredients together and add all at once to creamed mixture.

This is a thick dough and needs to be spread.

Mix the sugar and cinnamon and pour over the plums, let them stand about 5 minutes, then place the plums on the dough in a concentric design.

Poster's Notes:
*Although I have not tried yet, I am sure this can be doubled and a 9"x13" pan can be used.
