Marble Cake, Club Soda (P, TNT)
Source: Unknown
Serves: 24

12 eggs separated
3 cups sugar
2 packets vanilla sugar
1 cup oil
4 tsp. baking powder
1 cup club soda
4 cups flour
4 tbsp. cocoa
3/4 cup sugar

Beat whites until stiff. Gradually add sugar and vanilla sugar.

Beat yolks and oil and add to whites. Add remaining ingredients on low speed.

Pour batter into 10"x16" pan, leaving quarter of batter in bowl.

Mix cocoa, sugar and a little water. Make paste and add to remaining batter. Pour into pan and marbelize. Bake at 350°F for one hour.

Poster's Notes:
I have made many marble cakes over the years but this one is tops! I have also devised my own way of marbelizing so that it looks better than the bakery.

Take one cup of the batter and put it in your 4 cups Pyrex liquid measuring cup.

I use liquid marble but other, rich chocolate syrups would probably be good substitutes.

Take 1/2 cup of the liquid marble and mix well with batter.

Pour lines up and down the cake in pan. Take a fork and marble in and out of the lines you just poured onto the cake batter.
