Coconut-Pecan Frosting (D, KLP, TNT)
Source: Favorite Brand Name Recipe Cookbook dated 1981
Yield: Approximately 2 cups

1 5.33-ounce can evaporated milk
2/3 cup sugar
2 egg yolks, slightly beaten
1/3 cup butter or margarine
3/4 tsp. vanilla extract
1 cup flake coconut
2/3 cup pecans, chopped

Combine milk, sugar, egg yolks, butter, and vanilla in saucepan. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture thickens, approximately 10 minutes.

Remove from heat, add coconut and pecans. Beat until cool and of spreading consistency.
