1-1/4 cups confectioners' sugar
Mix first four ingredients, gradually add water. Mix by hand until smooth.

As a matter of fact, there were days when I was in such a rush Erev Shabbos that I saved this glaze until after candle lighting to put together. That's the fringe benefit, no beaters or big mixing bowls! I got this from "The Spice and Spirit of Jewish Cooking" back when the cookbook was in its first printing.
