Chocolate-Raspberry Frosting (D, TNT)

Yield: enough to frost 2 layers 9" cake

1/2 cup raspberry jam
3 tbsp. butter or margarine
3 cups chocolate chips
3/4 cup sour cream
2 cups powdered sugar

Bring raspberry jam and butter to simmer in heavy large saucepan over medium heat, stirring often. Remove from heat.

Add chocolate chips and stir until melted. Add sour cream and powdered sugar. Using electric mixer, beat frosting until smooth and thick, about 2 minutes.
