Dry Ingredients:
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup cocoa
1/4 teaspoon salt
2-3/4 to 3 cups self-rising flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
Wet Ingredients:
3/4 cup vegetable oil, not olive oil
2 cups water
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 tablespoons vinegar
Combine dry ingredients. Combine wet ingredients.
Mix all together. Bake for 55 to 60 minutes in a tube pan at 350°F.
For 9"x13" sheet cake bake for 25 minutes.
For cupcakes, fill 30 paper liners halfway with batter, bake 20 minutes.
Frost as desired.
