Coffeecake, Chocolate Banana II (P, TNT)
Source: Hershey's Chocolate Lover's Cookbook
Yield: 9 to 12 servings

1-2/3 cups all purpose flour
1 cup light brown sugar, packed
1/4 cup cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup mashed ripe banana (about 1 large)
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 tsp. white vinegar
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

Heat oven to 350°F. In large bowl, stir together flour, brown sugar, cocoa, baking soda and salt.

Add water, banana, oil, vinegar, and vanilla. Stir until smooth.

Pour batter into ungreased 8" square baking pan. Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until wooden pick inserted into centre comes out clean. Serve warm or cool.

Poster's Notes:
You may sprinkle with icing sugar when cooled, or frost the cake, but it really doesn't need anything.
