1/2 cup butter, softened
Cream butter and sugar. Add egg and stir until light and fluffy. Add persimmon pulp, currants, chopped nuts, and dried fruit.
Sift in flour, salt, baking powder, cinnamon, and cloves. Stir until blended.
Spray a 9"x5" nonstick loaf pan with non-stick spray and flour the bottom and sides. Pour batter into it, and bake at 325°F for 1-1/4 hours. Cool for 15 minutes in pan, then turn out onto wire rack to finish cooling.
Serve in slices. Good with cream cheese.
