Apple Cake IV (P, TNT)
Source: "The Haimishe Kitchen" Volume #2, Page 97
Serves: 24

Cake Mixture:
3 cups flour
2 cups sugar (I put 1-1/2)
1 cup oil (I put 1/2)
4 eggs
2-1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 cup orange juice

Filling:
10 Cortland apples, sliced or grated (I just use any variety and grate them)
4 tbsp. sugar (I put 2)
1 tsp. cinnamon

Use a 9"x13" baking pan or double recipe for 11"x16" pan.

Mix ingredients for cake. Place half of cake mixture into pan and spread 3/4 of the apple filling over it. Pour remaining half of cake mixture over apple filling. Cover with remaining 1/4 of apple filling.

Bake at 350°F for 1-1/4 hour.

Poster's Notes:
I put it into any pans and I just put the apples in and the batter and that's it. Enjoy! It's delicious!
