2 cups matzo farfel/ferfel
Preheat oven to 325°F.
Place ingredients in a large bowl, stirring with a spoon until well mixed.
Using a nonstick shallow baking pan, spread mixture evenly inside pan. Bake for 45-60 minutes, stirring every so often, until mixture browns slightly. (Start watching carefully after 40 minutes to make sure it does not get too brown. If using a dark metal pan, it will probably brown faster than with a cushionaire or glass pan. It will still get crisp after it is removed from the oven.) Cool. Store in an airtight container.

I used prunes, cut into pieces instead of the dates.

2/3 cup honey
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 cup raisins
1/4 cup pitted dates, sliced
1/4 tsp. salt
I heated the honey slightly to thin it.
