Bread Machine Challah, Oven-Baked II (P, TNT)
Source: Fleischmann's Yeast
Yield: 1-1/2 pound loaf

Dough:
3/4 cup water
1 large egg
3 tablespoons margarine, cut up
1-1/4 tsp. salt
3 cups bread flour
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tsp. yeast

Glaze:
Yolk of large egg
1 tablespoon water

Make Dough:
Put all the above into the machine (in the order given) and set for Basic Bread, or use the Dough Only cycle.

Take out and form into a small loaf pan (9"x5"x3") and let rise for 1 hour.

Make Glaze and Assembly:
Mix egg yolk and water.

Brush the yolk mixture onto the loaf and bake in a preheated oven at 375°F for approximately 35 minutes. If not brown, take out of pan and put back in oven (on oven rack) for 5 to 10 additional minutes.
