1 pound of flanken (steak or chuck)
I think that you could add other vegetables if you want. Cut steak across into 1/4" strips and place into a bowl.
Combine soy sauce, 2 tsp. oil, hot pepper, ginger, sugar, cornstarch, and orange juice. Pour liquid mixture over beef and marinate for 1-2 hours.
In a frying pan, heat remaining 2 tsp. oil and sauté red pepper and garlic for 5 minutes. Remove red pepper and garlic from pan. Set aside.
Place meat strips into frying pan and fry over a low flame until tender. Add pea pods, baby corn, garlic, and red pepper with rest of sauce and cook for another 4-5 minutes.
Serve over hot rice (I didn't) Enjoy!
Poster's Notes:
I made this for Chol Hamoed Succos & we had guests & everyone loved it. It was just so delicious. I think I'm going to try it this week using chicken cutlets. Everything that is made from this cookbook is delicious!
