Stuffed Cabbage I (M, TNT)

Serves: 4

1 pound ground beef
1 cup cooked rice
1/2 cup bread crumbs
2 eggs
onion juice
1-1/2 teaspoons salt
cabbage leaves
flour for dredging
oil for browning
1-1/2 cups tomato sauce

Mix first 6 ingredients.

Cut out and discard hard center core of cabbage. Put cabbage in large pot. Pour boiling water over it. Let stand until leaves are flexible and can be easily removed from the head.

Fill each leaf with prepared mixture, roll up, and fasten with toothpicks. Sprinkle with salt and dredge in flour. Brown in fat. Add tomato sauce, cover, and bake in a slow oven, 300°F for about 2 hours.
