Beef Stew, Harvest (M, TNT)

Serves: 12

1 cup uncooked wild rice, rinsed and drained (I use a mixture of brown and wild rice)
1 cup chopped celery
1 cup chopped carrots
2 4-oz. cans mushroom stems and pieces, drained
1 large onion, chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
1/2 cup slivered almonds, optional
3 beef bouillon cubes (I use onion soup mix)
2-1/2 teaspoons seasoned salt
2 pounds stew meat
3 cups water

Place ingredients in order listed in a slow cooker or crockpot. (do not stir). Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or until rice is tender. Stir before serving.
