Beef Stew w/Beer (M, TNT)

Serves: 6-8

3 pounds beef, cut to large pieces
4 tablespoons flour
3 pounds onion chopped coarsely
4 large carrots peeled and chopped coarsely
5-6 garlic cloves peeled and crashed
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon vinegar
salt and pepper
oil
2-3 cans beer

Coat beef with 3 tablespoons of flour. Fry in oil for a few minutes on each side. Remove and arrange in a casserole dish.

In the same pan, fry vegetables until onion is transparent. Add remaining ingredients and cook briefly.

Pour over beef and cover casserole. Bake for 2-3 hours at medium-low until meat is very tender.

Poster's Notes:
Belgian custom is to serve this dish with French Fries.
