Short Ribs, Mom's (M, TNT)

Serves: according to how much is used

Portions of beef according to number of dishes required
2 sliced onions
3 bay leaves
1 crushed clove garlic
Salt and pepper to taste

For Sauce:
1 cup tomato ketchup
1/2 cup chutney (any kind)
1 onion chopped
3 tsp. mustard powder
1/2 cup vinegar
1/4 cup tomato paste
1-1/2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/5 cup Vegetarian Worcestershire Sauce (click here for recipes)

Boil serving portions of beef in a pot of water until three quarters ready. Drain, place in an ovenproof dish. Add to the meat onion, bay leaves, garlic, salt and pepper.

Mix together sauce ingredients and top meat.

Cover the meat with foil and bake at 350°C for about half an hour. Uncover the meat and allow to cook for another 20 minutes.
