2 pounds lean ground beef (or 50/50 beef/veal)
Mix everything together with your hands. Don't overmix because ground meat tends to "pack" and take on an unpleasant texture.
Pat the mixture in a loaf pan and bake at 375°F for one hour or until thermometer registers done. If you don't have a loaf pan, just form the mixture into a loaf shape and place in a baking pan.
About 20 minutes before it's finished, spread some Ketchup on the top for extra zip. Remove from pan, let rest a few minutes and slice.
