Brisket w/Cranberry, Crockpot (M, KLP, TNT)
Source: My sister, Marilyn
Serves: 10 to 12

1 whole brisket
1 medium jar spaghetti sauce
2 onion soup mix pouches
1 can whole berry cranberry sauce
1/2 to 1 cranberry can water if cooking in oven, 1/4 to 1/2 can if making in slow cooker/crockpot
Salt
Pepper
Garlic powder (optional)

Make ahead of time.

Place brisket in pan/slow cooker/crockpot. Salt and pepper to taste, and sprinkle with garlic powder.

Add other ingredients over top of brisket.

Cover tightly with aluminum foil and roast at 350°F for 3 hours and 15 minutes, or until tender. Alternatively, cook in slower cooker/crockpot on low until tender.

Slice brisket thinly and place in a pan. Cover with sauce.

Freeze for later use or refrigerate. Slicing, freezing, and reheating it seems to make the meat more tender.

Poster's Notes:
I have many brisket recipes that I make, but the one I like best is my sister's.
