Kreplach, Baked Cheese I (D, TNT)
Source: Unknown
Serves: 6 or more

3-1/2 cups sifted flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 cup sour cream
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup melted butter

3 oz. cream cheese
1/2 lb. dry cottage cheese
1 tsp. sugar
Pinch salt
1 egg
2 tbsp. melted butter

Sift dry ingredients together. Mix sour cream, eggs and butter. Stir in the dry ingredients and knead for 2 minutes.

Roll out on a floured board 1/4" thick. Cut into 4" squares.

Blend filling ingredients together with a fork.

Place 1 tbsp. filling on each square; fold over to form a triangle and pinch the edges together.

Place in a buttered baking pan and bake for about 40 minutes at 375°F.

Poster's Notes:
This recipe does not use the standard noodle dough for kreplach, but a richer baking powder dough. I would imagine you could use the filling with any dough you wish.

I haven't made these in many years, since they are so high in fat, but I do remember them being delicious.
