Heads Up!

Just a note for all those discussing and thinking about heads on Rosh Hashanah:

My family never had the custom of using fish heads or any other kind of heads. Neither did my husband's. When my oldest daughter started pre-school, she came home and announced that we HAD to have fish heads on R.H. When I called her teacher, she was bewildered that anyone with even a basic knowledge of halacha (and our family is known to have more than a basic knowledge) wouldn't use them.

I finally told my daughter that she could choose--me or fish heads. Luckily she chose me.
